Sandy Mouche, kept on ice (II): Helena, Martin and Chris are ... "Sommardis"

Martinique from Sandy Mouche, pianist Christoffer Andersson and Helena Josefsson have started a new project - "Sommardis" (= Summer Haze ). The repertoire goes from Taube to Metallica, with classic duets and even some samples of their own original music.

The project was started because there are many beautiful songs Martinique and Helena would like to sing, but never got the chance to, and they wish to sing in the helpful acoustics and atmosphere of a church.

Christoffer Andersson (aka Chris the Triss) is a pianist and keyboards-player from Malmö, Sweden. He is a good poker friend of Martinique Josefsson and has been playing, touring and recording with Sandy Mouche since 2005. After the "... and poems for the unborn" 2006 Tour, he has played with Martinique and Helena as Sandy Mouche in Paris. He has also been playing with Helena Josefsson's solo band and with MaryJet (Mariette Hansson's band).

Today they played in a church in Kärvlinge. If you are in Sweden this summer, don't hesitate to visit these churches.

Christoffer Lundquist is mixing Helena's second solo album (V): Backing vocals

The other day, Hanna came to do some backing vocals. Christoffer had discovered her through a recording he did with a 9th grade class the other month, and was excited by her voice! The results became very satisfying! This week she will be back for some more songs.

She is only 15 years old. It is a new thing for me to have other vocals than my own on a recording, and it felt good. Someone with a different voice who is new to the pop genre makes it more rough, jippie! When Christoffer and I do aaah-harmonies it is just too polished……

At the end of the session, she gave Christoffer some help with the clarinet!

A small choir from Vollsjö added angelic voices! It put tears to my eyes….

Christoffer Lundquist is mixing Helena's second solo album (IV): Invasion of the guitars

My first soloalbum “Dynamo” contained only one guitar, it was a slide guitar on “Air-Hostess” But the other day Christoffer couldn´t help himself any longer. It started with one guitar, but ended with….

Invasion!!!

You see there are two songs that really beg for it, and that has to be obeyed :o) And on these two songs, there will be almost nothing else than guitars and vocals. It´s all or nothing! One of them is a ballad for our planet and the other one is dreamy and sleepy , it feels like a lullaby. I am looking forward to the live performances when the album is released, where Martinique and drummer Rasmus (who is originally a guitarist) can sit in front with me like as if it was by the fireplace…. mmmmmm…!!!

Here you see me enjoying the results in the headphones… Next week a children´s choir from Fränninge, the village next door, will join in on one of these two songs! That will be exciting because they have so beautiful voices :o)

Sorry: Le Journal des Mouches will be updated and changed ... very soon

When I began this blog a year ago I knew nothing about internet issues. This was my first message.

My name is Alberto, I am from Spain and this is the first post of a new blog about Helena Josefsson and the bands Sandy Mouche and Son of a Plumber. It is made because I wanted to put in chronological order the information we can get about Helena, SM and SOAP in the net, and in order not to saturate the Helena Josefsson Official Fan Forum with too much information and pictures. I began posting here in July 2007, but I thought it was easier to put the dates of the events as a Journal: Le Journal des Mouches (that means, the Flies Journal, but it actually refers to Sandy Mouche and Helena Josefsson). Welcome!
PS1. Journal des Mouches is only a blog made by a fan. It is not official, but it takes Official sources.
PS2. If you find any photo or information that you think it shouldn't be here, please tell me and I will change it for sure. Thank you
PS3. If you want to publish an article in this simple Journal, just send me an e-mail lantartida(at)yahoo(dot)es
Well, one year later I have understood that many things have been made very badly. For example I have published some information without contacting the original authors before, although I always mention them (I don't want people to think I write what I don't write but now I know that people should know where do their words feature). You can be sure that I don't use others words to win anything: I just wanted to compilate information about my favourite artists.

I hope you all can understad that I am only a stupid unexperienced blog editor without any bad intention. I will update the articles very soon and delete any inappropiated entry, so PLEASE, be patient. Anyway, if you find any information that shouldn't be here, don't hesitate to tell me.

Kind regards.

Alberto Fuente (aka Lantartida),
from Madrid, ES

PS: Kai, thank you for your message.

Christoffer Lundquist is mixing Helena's second solo album (III): The old man's house

Today I want to show you how I live when the record is being made!

It is a house 20 minutes walk from the studio, or 10 minutes by bike. It is called “Gubbens Hus”, which means “The house of the old man”. Because of who lived there before Christoffer Lundquist and his wife Ylva bought it, as an accomodation for all the musicians and artists who record in the Aerosol Grey Machine. Looki looki!

This recording means it is the first time that I´ve been living here all by myself and it was a bit scary at first, going home at midnight with the moonlight as my only guidance (the dynamo of the bike was broken:o) I was looking over my shoulder to make sure no warewolves were running after me. And I made it without any attacks! As soon as I got to the house I saw a movie and made some popcorn and I started to feel at home.

My favourite bedroom is this green one, it is away from the road so you don´t hear the cars. It is surprising how many cars that drive by there in the middle of nowhere all through the night, and really fast, too. I wonder where they´re going?

When I wake up after 9 or 10 hours of sleep ( singing and listening craves a lot of sleep at least for me that is), I open the window, and this is the view! Small birds are singing, cows are eating - isn´t it great!

Lonely breakfast means porridge and fruit- I think it tastes good. But the time this picture was taken, I had come all the way to the studio by bus, and the last 5 kilometres by bike, so I couldn´t bring any apple-mash which is my favourite on the porridge. I only brought the most necessary things.

And finally you see me going on the gravelled road, for another exciting day in the studio!
