Helena Josefsson is a bandstarter too (XII): No more ewing.1?

We have no news and it seems ewing.1 has disappeared.

We have heard that Magnus Tingsek has formed his own band Great 78 (remember that ewing.1 members were born in 1978 in Lund). Magnus Tingsek could tour with his brother Anders' band Loosegoats (photo), that released her new album, Plains, Plateaus and Mountains. Rivers, Lakes and Seas, last March 1999.

Jens Hellgren (guitar) is working with Mathias Olden and Mattias Friberg in their band Logh (photo), and Mattias Jeppson could have joined Logh too.

Helena Josefsson has released a new single with Plastic soul in 1999. Anyway, it seems she wants to concentrate on the band The Good Mornings.

- After ewing.1, Magnus Tingsek worked as "Great 78" (all the members of ewing.1 were born in 1978 in Lund) and then he has released some solo stuff: http://www.tingsek.com/ and http://www.myspace.com/tingsek .

- Mårten Dahl has worked with Tingsek and Timboctú, and with his own band, Spitlips http://www.myspace.com/spitlips

- Mattias Jeppsson plays the guitar in the band Logh http://myspace.com/logh , with Jens Hellgren and Mathias Oldén between the original members.

- Johan Svensson has worked with some blues and jazz bands, like Frank Vardaros, Bryan Beller, Jakob Norgren, Funky Band International and Harmonica Henry and the Bluesrockers.

I don't know if that "Johan Svensson" you mention in the comment is the ewing.1's one. But I am quite sure he is the same drummer of the band Swimfaster Godwhispers. The band has moved to London and Johan is not the drummer anymore.

Listen to Tingsek. He is one of the best musicians of Sweden nowadays.

The only thing I can say is that Great 78 released a CD, "Who I am", in October 2000.

"Who I am" was released by Ramblin' records, by the way.

Sorry, Great 78 actually released 2 EPs in 200: "Who I am" and "Brother"
